Me? That’s a tough one. But, in short, I’m best known as “Feather”, “H” or ”Heath”. I attempt to live life to the fullest seeking fun and adventure in all things outdoors that require little intellect, my cell or computer.
My skills: A ‘retired‘ licensed Veterinary Technologist, I am an outside sales representative for all things veterinary to practices located in the beautiful Inland Empire of the Northwest. I work for a (or dare I say the best) veterinary distribution company.
Pretty awesome job in most folks eyes, but it does come with it’s own baggage. Okay, not really, how could I complain about the fact that I spend the better part of my day petting dogs and cats, brushing the manes of horses and occasionally looking in the eyes of dairy cow and asking them if they too drink milk?
Oh, well there is the selling part… not really my favorite. I spend (what feels like) my life in my car, often with the Muse at my left shoulder with her head out the window wondering why I go into secret buildings and come out smelling of ‘others’.
My Interests: AFTER WORK, of course, I spend as much time as I can on my mountain bike, hiking the trails with Teva and my husband, and then a lil’ gym time when necessary. Living on 3 wooded acres we like to refer to our Atomic ranch as the tree house. Mostly windows with light colored wood flooring to match the hair of the Muse, life is as simple as we can make it inside our abode.

World Vets
In my future adult life I hope to be more a part of my other interest, World Vets. A NGO (non-government/non-profit) that provides international veterinary aid in undeveloped countries. This was another one of those amazing stumble upon relationships that was formed when I called on a veterinary practice in Washington. My participation with the organization is limited due to my schedule but I proudly say out loud that I am one of their biggest fans… (oops! that reminds me, I need to renew my membership!).
I have had the privilege to participate in two World Vets trips contributing my rusty skills as a vet tech. Additionally, I have enjoyed creating the student ambassador program for veterinary universities across the globe. I have met some of the most amazing people who previously struggled on how to give back and now have found their place, a forever rewarding experience.
